Gun Fitting
Gun fitting is one of the most important alterations to have done to your shotgun. Why try to mount a gun that is unsuitable?
Let me ask you this: What is the first thing you adjust before driving away in your new car?
The seat? The mirrors? The steering wheel?
Of course, if you adjusted nothing you'll still be able to drive, but not comfortably and therefore not to your best ability.
And if I even slightly adjusted the seat, mirrors or steering wheel on your car without your knowledge, you would instantly be able to tell something was wrong! The same principle applies to your shotgun.
If you want to shoot to the best of your ability, give me a ring to book a consultation.
I take a great deal of pride in making sure my gun fits are 100% accurate, and have produced a short informative film which I ask you to watch once your gun has been correctly fitted by me. The video's called 'Gun Mount Exercises' and it shows you exercises which can be practised in the comfort of your home which will promote a more consistent gun mount and improve muscle memory. This can be found by clicking here (it's the middle video at the top of the page).
Finding a gun that fits you ‘off the peg’ is unlikely, so I offer a bespoke gun fitting service so that your chosen gun can be tailored to fit you perfectly. Fitting includes adjusting the length of pull, casting off or on, and raising or lowering the comb. Recoil pads can be custom fitted depending on style and comfort.
